An entertaining opening night of the 2025 Telstra AFL Draft saw the order of selections change numerous times, with both of Geelong's picks fluctuating up and down the board.

The Cats opening selection eventually settled at pick 24, with Geelong recruiting exciting midfielder Harley Barker from Mount Barker in South Australia.

Their second pick went in the opposite direction, starting at number 40 and finishing night one at number 33, meaning the Cats will be back in action early on the night two at Marvel Stadium.
