The Cats will crown a new champion on Saturday, with the 2025 AFLW Best and Fairest night set to take place at GMHBA Stadium.
Despite missing out on Finals, Geelong still had a number of players that put together strong campaigns and will be in contention for the club's top award this weekend.
Take a look at all the players to watch at the Cats AFLW Best and Fairest, along with those that have performed well in the past.
THE CONTENDERS
Georgie Prespakis
A clear standout and among Geelong's best players every week, Georgie Prespakis is certainly expected to poll strongly on Saturday night.
The superstar midfielder is a previous best and fairest winner, putting together potentially a career-best season where she finished in the AFLW's top five players for disposals, inside 50s, contested possessions and clearances.
Also selected in the All-Australian squad, Prespakis will be one to keep an eye on as the vote count unfolds this weekend.
Mikayla Bowen
Another player that continues to get better each and every season, Mikayla Bowen will be a strong contender alongside Prespakis for the top award on Saturday night.
Selected in the All-Australian squad for the second time in her career, Bowen averaged career-highs in disposals, tackles, contested possessions and score involvements, while also kicking six goals of her own this year.
A leader on and off the field, Bowen is expected to rise after finishing eighth in Geelong's best and fairest in 2024.
Aishling Moloney
The runner-up in last year's best and fairest, Aishling Moloney is expected to poll strongly once again after another brilliant season in 2025.
While she did not quite match her goal tally from last year, the Irish star still kicked 17 goals for the season and finished sixth in the AFLW for total score involvements.
Moloney was also able to get involved further up the field, averaging over 14 disposals and three marks per game.
SET TO RISE
Amy McDonald
McDonald was limited by injuries in 2024 and eventually finished seventh in the best and fairest, but expect her to feature heavily this year after a solid season.
The star on-baller averaged 19.8 disposals and 4.2 clearances per game in 2025, also adding 5.1 tackles and 3.5 score involvements in a strong campaign.
Ranking in the top three at Geelong in a number of different statistical categories, keep an eye on McDonald as the vote count unfolds.
Georgie Rankin
It was a brilliant season for defender Georgie Rankin, who became a major part of Geelong's back six and put together a number of key performances throughout the season.
Averaging over 12 disposals and three tackles per game, Rankin finished fourth at the Cats for total intercept possessions and second for spoils, able to lockdown some of the competition's most dangerous forwards.
Rankin finished outside the top 10 in last year's best and fairest, so expect to see her rise this year.

THE VOTING SYSTEM
At the completion of each AFLW match, the senior coach awarded a 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 rating for the five best players by his estimation. The three AFLW line coaches were also required to award a 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 rating each to the best five players by their estimation. These ratings are then combined, with 20 votes being the maximum number any player can receive for an AFLW Round.
