What is fast becoming a common occurrence in 2025, Georgie Prespakis has topped the coaches votes for Geelong's Round 9 win over the GWS Giants.
The superstar midfielder received nine votes for her incredible 24 disposal and two goal performance on Saturday, taking her season tally to 64 votes and moving her back into outright second position on the overall leaderboard.
There was not much Prespakis did not do against the Giants, adding eight clearances and laying six tackles, while also finishing with five inside 50 entries and seven score involvements in a phenomenal display.
Mikayla Bowen has also continued her incredible run of form, receiving five votes in Round 9 to lift her season total to 23 votes, tied for the second most by any Geelong player this year.
Showing her toughness with eight tackles, Bowen finished with 23 disposals and a goal to go with six score involvements and four intercept possessions, already the fifth time this year that she has amassed 20 disposals or more in a game.
Jackie Parry was also amongst the Cats' best, recording an equal game-high eight score involvements and receiving four votes against the Giants, her season tally moving to 23 and sitting in equal second position on Geelong's leaderboard alongside Bowen.
Able to make every possession count, Parry was also strong in the air taking a game-high four contested marks on Saturday, extending her dominant stretch of games throughout the 2025 season.
One of the best things to come from Saturday's game was the performance of Lexi Gregor in her sixth AFLW match, receiving the first coaches vote of her career after a strong display in the Cats defensive half.
Gregor picked up 10 disposals and generated 278 metres gained, finishing the game with an equal team-high six intercept possessions and going at 100% disposal efficiency.
Aishling Moloney also received one vote to continue her strong campaign, kicking two goals and dishing off two goal assists against GWS.
Every week, the two senior coaches for each game award votes on a 5-4-3-2-1 basis, meaning 10 votes is the maximum a player can receive in each round.
The player with the most votes at the end of the home-and-away season will win the Sharp EIT Solutions AFLCA Champion Player of the Year Award.
