Mikayla Bowen has continued her extraordinary start to the year, receiving 10 coaches votes for her strong performance against Port Adelaide on Saturday.

Collecting 25 disposals, six score involvements and five intercept possessions, Bowen's forward pressure was a telling factor, laying eight tackles inside 50 to cap off a dominant display at Alberton Oval.

Georgie Prespakis maintained her position in second spot on the overall leaderboard, receiving eight votes in Round 6 to take her season tally to 49 votes, quite a remarkable feat considering 60 votes is the most a player can have to this point of the year.

The star midfielder finished the match with 24 disposals, six clearances and seven score involvements, helping Geelong to secure their third consecutive win.

Nina Morrison (18 disposals, two goals) and Jackie Parry (19 disposals, one goal) both received four votes in Round 6, taking their season tallies to 12 and 19 votes respectively.

Every week, the two senior coaches for each game give votes on a 5-4-3-2-1 basis, meaning 10 votes is the maximum a player can receive in each round.

The player with the most votes at the end of the home-and-away season will win the Sharp EIT Solutions AFLCA Champion Player of the Year Award.
