Geelong will write another chapter in their rich Finals history on Friday night, when they take on Hawthorn at the MCG in the penultimate week of the season. 

It will be the Cats' 14th Preliminary Final appearance in the past 19 years, their 10th during Chris Scott's tenure as head coach and will further add to their extensive history against Hawthorn. 

A number of Geelong players can continue to close in one long-standing records, like Patrick Dangerfield who is set to play the 30th Final in his illustrious career.
