Georgie Prespakis has moved into outright second position on the AFLW coaches votes leaderboard, with the brilliant midfielder and superstar forward, Jackie Parry both awarded nine votes in the Round 5 win over Richmond.
Eclipsing 30 disposals for the third time in four weeks, Prespakis collected six clearances and five score involvements on Sunday afternoon to have a big impact as the Cats recorded their second consecutive victory.
With the nine votes in Round 5, Prespakis is already up to 41 votes for the year and sits just a single vote behind leader, Ash Riddell heading into Saturday's clash with Port Adelaide.
Jackie Parry also continued her stellar start to the season collecting 17 disposals, nine marks and two goals against the Tigers, while also registering an equal game-high nine score involvements.
With her nine votes in Round 5, Parry's tally moves to 15 votes for the season which is the second most of any Geelong player so far in 2025.
After collecting a career-high 27 disposals in Round 1, Mikayla Bowen went one better against the Tigers and finished with 28 disposals, continuing her blistering start to the year and receiving four coaches votes.
Bowen also finished with eight score involvements, five inside 50's and two goal assists, laying another six tackles to be one of Geelong's most important players right across the field.
Aishling Moloney received three coaches votes, collecting 17 disposals and nine score involvements against Richmond, while also dishing off two goal assists to be a significant factor inside 50.
Julia Crockett-Grills was awarded her first two coaches votes of the year, amassing 19 disposals and two goals on Sunday afternoon, while also passing off two goal assists as she continues to flourish in attack.
The final Cat to feature in the votes was Claudia Gunjaca, who was recognised for her strong defensive performance picking off nine intercept possessions, to go along with a career-high 21 disposals.
Every week, the two senior coaches for each game give votes on a 5-4-3-2-1 basis, meaning 10 votes is the maximum a player can receive in each round.
The player with the most votes at the end of the home-and-away season will win the Sharp EIT Solutions AFLCA Champion Player of the Year Award.
