Lowther on the focus against Sydney
They are very attacking, obviously they have added a lot of talent over the last couple of seasons to their squad.
We are seeing that come to fruition now, Montana Ham is injury free now and she is playing really well. Molloy has been talked about, they have some got some really good ball winners and they have runners around the field.
As their talent gets better and more available, it just becomes a challenge for everybody. It is an opportunity for us to show that our system can support our strengths as well.
The games in the past have been pretty tight, particularly last year against them up in Sydney. We know our best is good enough, we just need to make sure that we believe it.
Lowther on stopping Chloe Molloy
We have a few little plans up our sleeve.
From week to week, there is always a really dangerous player that we need to be mindful of and Molloy this week is exceptional.
It will be just trying to starve her of opportunity I think, around our contest method with stoppage and clearance to make sure the ball is not going down there as much as what they would like.
We have got a couple of options down there that can matchup on her okay, but again it is going to be a collective around our midfield, how we transition, how we win clearance. Starving an team's best player is a good method.
Lowther on Georgie Prespakis
This time last year she was a bit banged up with a quad issue.
She has had a really good off-season and pre-season and that is showing now with the way she is able to transition more, her contest craft, she has grown in her game IQ and her fundamentals are all catching up with that as well.
She is becoming more and more complete which is good, quarter one to quarter four is still important for all of us but for her in particular, to take games by the scruff of the neck late.
She has had a really good start to the year.
Lowther on Aishling Moloney's form
It has been a bit of a slow start for her.
She is getting some good looks up front and the goal last week was superb, it wasn't luck because she knew what she was doing, she said that to us post game.
It is always an interesting one when Aishling goes back to Ireland after such a long Gaelic season as well, it just takes her a few weeks to get back into the groove of AFLW.
The fact she is getting scoring shots is really good, she had a great goal on the weekend against the Crows and we are looking forward to some other opportunities this week against the Swans. She is going pretty well.
Lowther on what the Cats learned from last week
There were probably a few things that went wrong.
Our contest method around stoppage, the Crows really strong midfield group got a hold of us in that space. They had repeat entries inside 50, where our defenders had to fight the fight continually for long periods. We couldn't get our hands on the footy enough to regain control.
We have worked on some things during the week around momentum swings, and how we can arrest that when the time is right. That can be in the first two or three minutes of the game where you need to put those scenarios into play.
We did a bit of a deep dive on a number of things that we can support the group with in those scenarios. Against North Melbourne the same thing happened as well, the last quarter we probably gave away a run of three or four goals where it hurt us in the end as well.
We just have to stop this pattern of behaviour through our contest method and game IQ, to make sure we are stronger in that space at the right time.
