Geelong locked in a top-two finish on the AFL ladder following a solid 39-point victory over Richmond at the MCG on Saturday, in the final round of the home and away season.

On Monday, the AFL announced that the Cats will face the Lions on Friday 5 September at the MCG at 7.40pm, and can now announce the following information regarding ticketing.

AFL updated tickets on sale timings as of Monday 25 August at 3.45pm. 

The AFL has confirmed the on-sale timings and ticketing information for the two Qualifying Finals in Week One of the 2025 Toyota AFL Finals Series.

Ticket prices for Week One start at $35.

The AFL strongly encourages fans to only purchase tickets for the 2025 Toyota AFL Finals Series through authorised sellers, or through the AFL Event Office for premium hospitality and experience packages at afl.com.au/eventoffice.

The Cats capped off a consistent 2025 campaign with 17 wins, securing second position and earning the right to host a Qualifying Final in the opening week of the Toyota AFL Finals Series, set to take on Brisbane on Friday the 5th of September. 

It marks another significant achievement for head coach Chris Scott, with this being the 11th time Geelong has finished in the top four during his 15-year tenure.
