A trio of Cats have been added to the initial 26-player squad ahead of Geelong's clash with Port Adelaide on Sunday afternoon.

Experienced defender, Jed Bews has been named on an extended interchange and is a chance to play his first AFL game since Round 11, hitting a strong vein of form and averaging 25 disposals per game at VFL level over the past three weeks.

Mitch Knevitt has also been added to the squad and will be looking to add to his five AFL appearances this season, while Jhye Clark rounds out the inclusions fresh off a 25 disposal and two goal performance for the VFL Cats last week.

At this stage there are no confirmed changes, with Geelong to name their final team at 5.00pm AEST on Friday afternoon. Five players from the extended bench will remain on the interchange, while the remaining three will be emergencies for Sunday's clash.
