Scott on Tom Stewart
He is 100% ready to play and we are in the moment.
We are not managing our effort or our availability at this point of the season, we are full systems go.
It is not to say that we don't think about these things, we do and I would like to think that we are very prudent and sometimes overly cautious when it comes to the health, particularly of our really important players but it is just not an issue.
I think I was clear post game because that was the feedback that we got pretty quickly when we subbed him off, that was a very precautionary move to make sure that he was right for this week. That is exactly the way it has played out.
Scott on whether the Cats are Premiership contenders
Yeah, but I think we are one of nine teams at the moment.
That is the way I am reading it, I don't think it is necessarily going to be the best team across the course of the season that wins it. I think it will be the one that plays the best footy at the pointy end, and I think all those teams are capable. That is not always the case at this stage of the year.
We have got a few more areas of our game that we would like to be sharper than just the defensive part, that is certainly one but we feel like we have the capacity to challenge the very best. It just feels to me, more than ever in this world, that if we are off we have still got the vulnerability that we could get beaten by anyone.
We feel that while we respect the opposition, we just feel like there are parts of our game that need to get better in order to challenge those really good teams.
Scott on Toby Conway and Mitch Edwards
I have bracketed Toby and Mitch Edwards together, they have sort of been on a similar path and have come back together.
Seeing both of them play in the VFL is really exciting for us.
I probably reference a previous answer, we are open minded to those guys but not too prescriptive with the way we are forecasting it to roll out. We will get what we get over the next couple of weeks and then make an assessment, as to how we can progress them.
Nothing is on or off the table with those guys.
Toby will still have some restrictions and with both of those guys, it is not as if they will play a game or two and then be completely unrestricted and all options are out there straight away. It is going to take a little bit of time.
Scott on Ollie Henry
We have seen what Ollie can do at the highest level.
We have got so much confidence in his ability, but right at the moment it is not working out for him. If I explain in great detail what I think players need to do in public, then I have made a mistake. These are private conversations.
I would like to think he is clear in our faith in what he can do, but at any one time, especially with good availability we are going to end up with good players in good form who are just on the edge of the team. That is where he finds himself at the moment, but it is on the bleeding edge.
We have got plenty of time in the season for guys to press their case and I think we know, if he plays close to his potential he is going to be hard to keep out of the team.
Scott on Cam Guthrie's return
We will hold him back, he is just not quite ready.
What it means is that with the bye, it is a little longer than we would like but we are confident that he will get a fair bit out of the training between now and then.
He will play more game time when he comes back than he would have if we pushed him into this game.
I think the end result is going to be pretty marginal.
