Geelong has recorded a clean sweep in the Round 17 coaches votes, with Jeremy Cameron and Zach Guthrie leading the way while Max Holmes continues his ascension up the overall leaderboard.
After extending his lead to 10 goals in the Coleman Medal, Cameron received a game high nine votes for his performance against Richmond on Saturday afternoon.
The spearhead forward kicked four goals and dished off two goal assists from his 19 disposals, while also roaming up the ground at times to help generate plenty of run and carry.
It continues a strong run of form for Cameron who now moves to a total of 36 votes for the year, the third most of any Geelong player in 2025.
Zach Guthrie was awarded eight votes for his dominant display down back, collecting 25 disposals and 14 marks while also picking off six intercept possessions.
Perhaps the most impressive factor was Guthrie's ability to have an impact offensively for the Cats, going at 92 disposal efficiency and registering nine score involvements in a stellar outing.
Max Holmes received another six votes to take his season tally to 55, moving into 11th on the overall leaderboard and just 14 votes adrift of the leaders.
The star on-baller amassed 36 disposals and six clearances against the Tigers, adding 11 inside 50's and seven score involvements in a well rounded performance.
Gryan Miers was recognised by the coaches for his influential display in Round 17, receiving five votes after collecting 29 disposals and 12 score involvements against Richmond.
Jack Martin (25 disposals, three intercept marks) received the first vote of his Cats career as he continues to look increasingly comfortable across half back, while Tom Atkins (17 disposals, 17 tackles) rounded out the votes after another workmanlike performance.
Despite missing Saturday's clash, Bailey Smith remains in third place on the overall leaderboard and just three votes behind joint leaders, Noah Anderson and Nick Daicos.
The AFL Coaches Association’s AFL Champion Player Award is an award voted by the 18 coaching panels on a 5,4,3,2,1 basis after each home and away game, acknowledging outstanding effort by an individual player in a season.
