Scott on the early takeaways from Saturday
Obviously the conditions made it a tough, contested game but it was probably going to be that way anyway.
We were of the strong view that their ladder position reflected the quality of their season, it was always going to be a tough game for us. Everyone knows how chock full of talent they are, they have been playing a style that has been difficult to overcome.
When the conditions were a bit slippery as well, it means it is going to be a tough battle.
In the end the margin was probably a bit more comfortable than the way the game felt, I don't think that was reflective either.
I am not going to say that we defended brilliantly all the time, but we did make it hard for them to score.
Scott on the strategic shifts in the game plan
Even though it was low scoring and a bit of a grind, it was an interesting tactical battle.
They were trying to get certain things done and we were trying to counter it.
The way we looked at them over the course of the year, and probably longer than that, whether they play well or not Anderson is just so important for them. Then Miller and Rowell with that sort of combination, Humphrey is a young player that creates a formidable combination.
That part of the game was really important for us, but that was also only one part of the tactical battle.
But the way we are thinking about it in the immediate aftermath is that those guys in and around the contest, on really high quality players set it up for us.
Scott on Tyson Stengle's performance
In conditions like that, you need guys who are dangerous at ground level.
It was never going to be a big contested marking game ahead of the ball, and he is right up there with the best wet weather small forwards that I have seen.
He is so clean and so clever, for his size he is just so strong over the ball as well.
We thought he was a real threat all night.
Scott on Tom Stewart's strong display
I don't think he has played more than a few games in a row this year, he has been a bit interrupted which has been frustrating for him.
But when he has played, he has been so important to us.
He is a classic example of a guy who if he doesn't dominate the game, then he is below average by his standards. Again I think that is a bit harsh, especially for defenders.
We thought he was very influential on the game tonight.
Scott on Jack Martin's club debut
We thought that was a real positive tonight, we thought he was really good for us, especially early.
When we started thinking about bringing him in or hopefully getting the opportunity to bring him in, which started a long time ago, we always had in mind that he would be a bit more back half than forward half. He has had such a difficult run for such a highly talented player, and it required detailed individual planning.
It is great news story though, I think even the teams that would be frustrated that he is not in their team, would be happy to see him back.
He is just such a likeable guy, understands the game so well, he deserves the chance to play really high quality footy.
