Geelong has made five changes ahead of their Round 11 clash with the Gold Coast Suns at GMHBA Stadium, naming a strong team with 12 AFL-listed players set to feature on Sunday. 

Continuing the exciting news this weekend, Irish recruit Cillian Burke is set to pull on the Hoops for the first time after being selected to make his debut with the VFL Cats. 

A highly touted Gaelic footballer, Burke switched codes and joined Geelong at the end of the 2024 season, described as an impressive athlete with great speed and agility. 

Jed Bews has been named for his first VFL game of the year, while Ted Clohesy will also play on Sunday after featuring as the substitute in Geelong's AFL clash with West Coast last week.

Jay Polkinghorne returns after missing last Sunday's clash with Williamstown, while Wil Rantall rounds out the inclusions. 

As announced last night, Jack Martin will come out of the VFL side after earning his club debut with Geelong's AFL team on Saturday. 

Xavier Ivisic will be managed, Nathan Kreuger is set to miss through injury, while Ethan Borys and Kobe George have been omitted. 

The VFL Cats return to GMHBA Stadium for an important clash on Sunday, as they take on the Gold Coast Suns.
