Scott on balancing the Cats style

I don't think it as simple as us adjusting to the ground necessarily, but there are some really important principles when you play Port, especially defensively.

I think our game has moved past the stage where we are just completely roll out the same game every week, it is more sophisticated than now and you really do need to adjust a bit.

But having said that, it is not as if we turned it on its head, but it is an interesting observation because it is kind of the modern game. You come up against teams and the equation is actually quite simple, this is the way they play and if the game is played that way, you are going to be in trouble.

But if it looks a little bit more like our style, we are going to be hard to beat.

Scott on Ollie Dempsey's development

It would have been an amazing [third] quarter if he had of finished his work, he really got his chances.

He is only early in his evolution, I will just remind you that three years ago he was having a bit of a kick with Old Carey.

He has won a Rising Star so he has got some recognition, he is an important part of our system but we think he is going to go better.

It was not by accident necessarily but it wasn't a really detailed plan to bring some of these guys in, but he had some talent and he is an elite runner as well. It does help the options that you have in terms of the way you play.

Scott on Bailey Smith's running capacity

He is a power runner, that is for sure.

Our team in general, hopefully it doesn't sound like us blowing our own trumpet, but we have transitioned into a team that can really run, and Bailey is a part of that.

I don't think anyone is 'untaggable,' but he certainly is a handful because he just keeps going and going.

Scott on the injury issues

Jack Bowes did a hamstring early, and that was pretty clear.

Dangerfield has a hamstring issue as well, more minor than Bowes is the feedback that I have got and it is a little less clear, which is a good sign. Bowes was pretty much out of the game straight away.

We were sort of thinking through Dangerfield in the mid-season period, so likely what it means for us is he will miss a week or two more than we had planned through this period leading up to our bye.

Scott on Oisin Mullin's role

I thought he really stuck to his role with great persistence and perseverance.

He was playing on a pretty handy player, you talk about those 'untaggable' guys and he might be up there with the Nick Daicos types. We will have to take our time to assess how it went.

We went into the game looking at Rozee and Butters, thinking if we can limit them a bit that would be a good result, because you just can't stop them completely.

My sense is that Oisin did a good job, her certainly did a good job against Daicos a few weeks ago.
