Geelong captain Patrick Dangerfield is set to battle with his old side for the 13th time this weekend, when the Cats take on Adelaide at GMHBA Stadium this Saturday.
Dangerfield spent the first eight seasons of his AFL career with the Crows, after being selected with the 10th pick in the 2007 draft.
But the lure of returning home came calling at the end of 2015, and the champion midfielder joined the Cats via trade.
Among a bevy of accomplishments since returning to Geelong, Dangerfield holds a very strong record against his former club.
In 12 meetings the Cats and Dangerfield have won eight times, not dropping a single game at GMHBA Stadium in that span with an average winning margin of 25 points across the eight wins.
The Geelong skipper is always right amongst the action against the Crows, averaging 28 disposals and five clearances per game across his 12 appearances.
In 2017 Dangerfield collected 31 disposals and three goals against Adelaide in Round 11, following that with a 33 disposal and three goal performance in 2018.
From the 10 eligible home and away matches against the Crows, Dangerfield has polled nine Brownlow Votes including one vote late in 2016 on his way to taking Charlie home.
Dangerfield and the Cats will look to extend their form against Adelaide, when they welcome the South Australian club to GMHBA Stadium on Saturday.
