The annual All Abilities Clinic was held today, hosted by Geelong Cats at GMHBA Stadium with over 100 participants joining in on the action.

Geelong have been holding this event for eight straight years, each year engaging local support services for young people with disabilities and their families.

The event has always provided a safe space for anyone to kick the footy and be a part of a welcoming, inclusive environment.

Tom Stewart, Oscar Brownless, James Parsons, Rhys Stanley, Nathan Krueger, Jake Tarca, Jamaine Jones and Zac Smith all helped out with footy skills, activities and giveaways

Games were held on St Mary’s oval and inside GMHBA stadium.

Participants from community organisations came from Leisure Networks, Gateways Support Services, and Barwon Child Youth and Family.

This comes after Geelong recently partnered with American organisation, Kulture City, alongside Kardinia Park Stadium Trust.

In doing so, they will become Australia’s first accredited sensory stadium.

The accreditation includes The Sensory Zone, where sensory back-packs are offered along with a sensory room that is available for everyone with sensory processing difficulties.

The quiet space will be open in round four while the sensory room will be open from round six during the lead up to the game (4pm-5pm).

Both these spaces were open on the day to all participants.
