Geelong has named a near full-strength squad for its match simulation against Carlton at Ikon Park on Thursday.

All but three AFL-listed players will take part in the match, with Gary Rohan (managed), Mitch Edwards (managed) and Joe Furphy (foot) the only players set to miss.

The match will consist of eight 20-minute play periods, with players from the Cats' AFL and VFL programs named in the 58-player squad, with players from the AFL squad to play across all periods.

Cats fans will get their first look at Geelong's newest recruits, while the majority of Geelong's senior stars will also take part in the hit-out.

First bounce is at 11.30am.
