Cats midfielder Georgie Prespakis has been awarded a team high seven coaches votes in round three, for her standout performance against North Melbourne.

The star on-baller amassed 26 disposals and laid eight tackles against the Kangaroos, while also pushing forward to kick a brilliant goal early in the second quarter.

The round three match is the second time that Prespakis has featured in the votes this season, following a perfect 10 from the coaches in the opening round against the Western Bulldogs.

Nina Morrison received two votes against North Melbourne, featuring as one of Geelong’s best players in back to back weeks after being awarded eight votes against Sydney last week.

The midfielder collected 22 disposals and three clearances on Friday night, while also laying eight tackles as she continues to take her game to higher standards in 2023.

The AFL Coaches Association’s AFLW Champion Player of the Year is an award voted by the AFLW senior coaches on a 5,4,3,2,1 basis after each home and away game, acknowledging outstanding effort by an individual player in a season.
