Tom Stewart’s dominant performances for Geelong in 2023 has been recognised with selection in the All Australian team which was announced on Wednesday night. 

The Cats' vice captain was named in the backline after averaging 23 disposals per game this season, along with 8.3 marks and 512 metres gained, and finished sixth in the AFL for intercept marks with 75. 

Stewart joins an illustrious group of five-time All Australians from the Club, joining current teammates Patrick Dangerfield and Tom Hawkins, plus past players Corey Enright, Gary Ablett Jnr, Gary Ablett Snr, Joel Selwood and Matthew Scarlett to achieve the feat. 

The 2023 All Australian selection panel included Gillon McLachlan (chairperson), Eddie Betts, Jude Bolton, Nathan Buckley, Kane Cornes, Andrew Dillon, Glen Jakovich, Laura Kane, Cameron Ling and Matthew Pavlich.
