Tom Stewart's extraordinary efforts against the Western Bulldogs on Saturday night have been recognised with the Cats' star receiving a maximum 10 votes from the coaches.
Four Cats featured in the Round 12 AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year voting, with Gryan Miers (five votes), Brad Close and Tom Atkins (one vote each) featuring alongside the Cats' stand-in skipper.
Stewart - who kicked just the fourth goal of his 137-game career - was impassable in defence, and finished the clash with a team-high 27 disposals and 10 marks, as well as 10 intercept possessions and three inside 50s for the match.
Miers was pivotal in the Cats' front half, collecting 20 disposals and eight marks, to go with four tackles, three goal assists and a goal.
Close (18 disposals, six score involvements, one goal) and Atkins (19 disposals, nine tackles, six clearances) also rose to the occasion as Geelong recorded a 22-point win over the Western Bulldogs.
