Avid Geelong supporter Paula Simpson has won the member of the month award for March.

Paula formed part of the Cats guard of honour as the player’s ran out on Friday night.

How long have you supported Geelong?
I have barracked for Geelong for nearly all of my life. I just had a year of barracking for Hawthorn when I was in grade six because that’s what you’ve got to do to be the teacher’s pet.

Why and when did you decide to be a Geelong Cats Member?
We moved to Ocean Grove in 2017 so I decided to become Geelong member and go to as many games as I could.

What is your favourite and most memorable football experience?
My favourite football memory is running through the banner with the team when I won a competition in 2015.

We love the photos, why and when did you start taking these?
I love to star jump and take photos wherever I go, whether it’s travelling the world or going to the footy. It’s a great photograph timeline for me to remember how much fun I’ve had.

Who is your favourite player and why?
Jimmy Bartel was my all-time favourite player. Now I can’t really decide on a favourite. I think Joel is great, Patrick is too and who doesn’t love Gary. Now that I have five grandchildren, I think I will encourage them to be Cats supporters as they really are the greatest team of all.
