WHEN Cam Guthrie is up and running, Geelong is better for it and the hard-running Cat is starting to hit his straps.

Guthrie was awarded six coaches votes for his efforts against the Power, with his 38 disposals the second-highest tally of his career.


The 2020 Carji Greeves medallist has had the ball on a string in recent matches, averaging 29.8 disposals since Round 5 after winning just 20.6 touches from Rounds 1 to 5.

Jeremy Cameron was given seven votes by Chris Scott and Ken Hinkley and is the leading Cat in this year's AFLCA Champion Player of the Year award.


Cameron sits in 12th position in the standings with 34 votes. Melbourne's Clayton Oliver is the overall leader on 61.

The defensive trio of Tom Stewart (five votes), Sam De Koning (two votes) and Tom Atkins (one vote) also were recognised, while Tyson Stengle (three goals) also received a vote.
