Before the Bounce
On Saturday, the Cats will wear the indigenous guernsey, for the second time this season, in support of the club’s Close the Gap program. In partnership with Target, the Geelong Cats are raising awareness of the life expectancy gap between aboriginal and non-aboriginal people.
A Welcome to Country will occur on field, featuring the didgeridoo and Deadly Dancers. Students from The Gathering will wear t-shirts featuring the indigenous banner artwork and form a guard of honour, before past player Bill Goggin rings the historic timekeepers bell as the players run onto the ground.
As usual, there will be a Fan Zone for the kids (located outside the Players Stand) featuring giant Jenga, a Simonds Stadium Jumping Castle, kicking tube and handball competition.
Ticketing information
Geelong Cats general admission members are now able to scan their membership card in to Simonds Stadium and access Standing Room in the Ablett Terrace, subject to availability. Click here for more information on Standing Room access.
Members who prefer a seat and do not have an allocated season reserved seat at Simonds Stadium are required to upgrade their entry to a reserved seat ticket through Ticketmaster, using the 12-digit barcode number. Don’t forget to scan in with the Ticketmaster issued ticket on game day!
Upgrade to a reserved seat ticket online or via your smart phone prior to the game, with reserve seats starting from just a $4 booking fee. Reserving your seat online won’t cost you anymore than lining up on the day but it will save you time!
