GEELONG has kicked off its AFL season with a bang by throwing the gates of GMHBA Stadium open for the first open training in nearly two years.

Fans watched on as Chris Scott put his players through their paces ahead of the club’s season-opening clash with Essendon at the MCG as part of the Powercor Country Festival.

Cats MC Nathan Templeton interviewed players and coaches while the players handed out signed footballs to the fans along the boundary.
