DEFENDER Annabel Johnson will miss the remainder of the AFLW season after suffering a fracture to her left foot.

Johnson sustained the injury in the Cats thrilling win over the West Coast Eagles at GMHBA Stadium on Friday night, scans revealed the fracture. 

“Annabel has been one of our most consistent players this year, and we will miss her presence in the second half of the season,” Head of women’s football Brett Johnson said.

“A season ending injury is always disappointing, but we know Annabel is resilient and will come back from this. Our medical staff are consulting with specialists as to the best course of action for Annabel in her recovery and rehabilitation.”

Johnson is in her first AFLW season, and has played four games.
