Nina Morrison will return for the Cats as they take on West Coast Eagles at GMHBA Stadium on Friday night.

The talented midfielder missed last week's two-point loss to reigning premier Brisbane with a calf complaint, but is straight back into the action as Geelong strives for its first win of 2022 when they take on the Eagles.

Madisen Maguire has been omitted.

The single change signifies the steadiest the Cats' line-up has been in a Covid-interrupted season, as they look to capitalise on the momentum and promise they have shown over the opening month.

The Eagles' previous two matches had to be postponed due to a number of players entering the AFL's health and safety protocols, and they will be eager to hit the ground running in their return.

For the Cats, after a month of promise, they will be hoping Friday is the night it all finally comes together and they can open their account in front of their home crowd at GMHBA Stadiu.

The match kicks off at 7.10pm AEDT, while the FREE Summer Footy Festival again returns to GMHBA Stadium from 5pm Friday.
