Cats in the Community has a new name and look as the club endeavours to further strengthen its ties with the community.

Now known as Cats Community, Geelong’s suite of community programs will continue to have a focus on engaging and empowering our community to thrive in building healthy, active and inclusive lives.

The new Cats Community logo represents the program’s three key pillars: Cats Learn, Cats Connect and Cats Care, as well as signifying people embracing, coming together to work together and a sense of connection and belonging.

The Cats Learn suite of programs highlight the importance of healthy eating, physical activity, and positive mental health and wellbeing.

Cats Connect sees the Cats work collaboratively with community partners to build a sense of belonging and cultural connection to the game, club and community.

Cats Care continues the club’s 160-plus year tradition of assisting those in the community who need it most.

Geelong Cats GM – Community Sarah Albon said the club was excited to launch its new-look community brand.

“As we have all faced the challenges of the past 18 months, connecting with our community and looking after our health and wellbeing have become more important than ever,” she said.

“We are looking forward to continuing the important work of our community programs under the new banner of Cats Community in 2022 and beyond.”
