GEELONG has made three changes for its Semi Final clash with Greater Western Sydney at Optus Stadium on Friday night.

The Cats have injected some speed into its lineup with dashing defender Zach Tuohy and first-year Cat Max Holmes back for the must win encounter.

Tuohy will play his first game since Round 21 after recovering from a hamstring injury.

Versatile tall Esava Ratugolea has also received a call-up and has been named to start in attack for the Cats. The 23-year-old is also set to provide assistance to Rhys Stanley in the ruck, which could see Mark Blicavs spend more time in Geelong's backline.

Mark O'Connor will miss with a hamstring injury, whilst Luke Dahlhaus and Sam Simpson have been omitted.

Simpson is in contention to be named the medical substitute alongside fellow emergencies Shaun Higgins, Darcy Fort and Zach Guthrie.

The Semi Final will be televised on Channel Seven with the first bounce at 7.50pm AEST (5.50pm local time).

It will be special occasion for captain Joel Selwood who will play his 333rd game for Geelong, to move ahead of Corey Enright on 332 games as the outright Club record holder for most games played.
