GEELONG has recalled three players for its Round 16 Powercor Country Festival blockbuster with Essendon at GMHBA Stadium on Friday at 7.50pm.

Friday night will mark the first time the Bombers have come to town for premiership points since August 21, 1993.

Ruckman Rhys Stanley, forward Gryan Miers and midfielder Quinton Narkle return to the side after each played starring roles in Geelong's huge 118-point VFL victory against Brisbane.

They replace Mark O'Connor (injured), Shaun Higgins (managed) and Esava Ratugolea (managed).

Fans are encouraged to arrive early to the game on Friday afternoon from 4pm to enjoy the festivities which will include live acts on the Morris Finance Main Stage, the Farmers’ Market presented by The Food Purveyor in Legends Plaza, a heap of activities for the kids and much more.

Plus, Geelong’s VFL team will play a curtain raiser against Essendon from 4.10pm.

Defender Tom Atkins will play his 50th AFL game.
