Geelong's 2021 AAMI Community Series clash against Essendon is locked in.

The Cats will host the Bombers at GMHBA Stadium on Saturday 6 March from 7.10pm AEDT.

The Powercor Country Festival game will be televised on Fox Footy.

The announcement comes following the AFL's decision to reduce the AAMI Community Series schedule to one game per team as the League looks to reduce travel ahead of the Toyota AFL Premiership Season.

Each of the 18 clubs will play an official AAMI Community Series game from Wednesday, March 3 to Sunday, March 7, instead of the originally scheduled two games across three weeks.
