Brandan Parfitt looks set to take on the Demons.

GEELONG’s General Manager of Football Simon Lloyd says he expects midfielders Brandan Parfitt and Sam Menegola to be fit to take on the Demons.

Patrick Dangerfield is right to play after a scary fall onto his neck, while Rhys Stanley and Luke Dahlhaus are under injury clouds.

Young Cat Oscar Brownless will spend some time on the sidelines after dislocating his shoulder.

Key Forward Josh Jenkins continues to recover from a back injury.

Brandan Parfitt – Hamstring

“There was some soreness through the middle of the week last week, then basically he completed part of the captain’s run and moved around quite freely,” Lloyd said.

“We had to make the decision at that point, it was a line-ball decision whether we would include Brandan in the team and match committee chose not to select Brandan.

“He was able to complete a good body of cross training and then running on Sunday as well. We expect him to be available for Melbourne on Sunday.”

Rhys Stanley – Knee

“Rhys suffered a medial ligament strain. It was a good effort by Rhys to be able to keep playing with some discomfort.

“Basically what’s happened over the last couple of days is our medical team are assessing it further and we’ll know more in due course.”

Sam Menegola – Back

“Sam came off with lower back pain, he’s having spasms through his back, our physios and medical team worked hard to get him back out there but to no avail.

“You’ll find that he’ll get a lot of treatment throughout this week with the expectation that he should be right to play come Sunday.”

Luke Dahlhaus – Concussion

“Luke suffered the full force of Esava Ratugolea running through him and he’ll go through the whole concussion protocols throughout the week.

“As Luke always is, he’s in great spirits today, buzzing around the club.

“He got moving today as a part of the small group exercises, hopefully he’ll be fine this week but again it’s a medical call.”

Patrick Dangerfield – Neck

“No issues whatsoever with Pat.”

Josh Jenkins – Back

“Josh is highly professional, he’s been working through. It’d be frustrating for him at the moment but his spirits are really high and he’s highly engaged.

“It’s just slow and steady and we’re working through it, he’s important to us going forward.”

Oscar Brownless – Shoulder

"Oscar dislocated his right shoulder and came off the ground at the time. It looked quite serious, it popped back in and he had some good mobility post-game.

"He’s had scans and there’s no bone damage so that’s a real positive. We’ll look to get him going hopefully pretty quickly."
