The 35-year-old produced a masterclass inside Geelong’s attacking 50 in the second quarter with two brilliant acts earning him two round five nominations this week.

The first saw Ablett soar into the sky, just like his father was so famous for, to take an absolute screamer in the goal square.

The spectacular mark was quickly following by a classy finish on the outside of his foot from the boundary.
