Scott on the shift after half time
There were a few things tactically that shifted a bit.
I still thought their good players were pretty good, it wasn't as if they had a bad second half necessarily. I thought they still looked dangerous.
But we thought that if we could at least breakeven through the midfield, the way Collingwood play they certainly pressure well and play higher from the back.
If you can get through that first layer, sometimes you get some pretty good looks.
It doesn't always work that way, but we were maybe a little bit more composed with the ball than we were in the first half, which was probably a bit of a reaction to their pressure.
Scott on the defensive adjustment at quarter time
That was just a really specific issue, it wasn't even necessarily an area that we need to change too much. I just wanted to get their opinion based on the vision.
I am actually a big believer that sometimes, what is happening on the field looks a little bit different to what is happening from the box. It was more with the benefit of a birds eye view, is this the way you are seeing it?
But defending Collingwood is always a challenge, their rebound particularly from that defensive midfield area can be difficult to stop.
I thought overall defensively, we were able to take that away from them.
They missed their shots as well, so we shouldn't be overconfident around the performance there. But for the most part, it was pretty solid.
Scott on Geelong's transition and ball movement
Against Collingwood more than most teams, that is a challenge because they prioritise getting in your face.
Again, from the birds eye view, sometimes it looks like you have players really free, but the ability to get it past those guys who are pressuring can be more challenging than it looks.
I thought maybe we sort of rushed into those entries a bit more than we needed to in the first half, but just sharpened that up a bit in the second.
Scott on the forward contributions
I thought our high forwards were strong.
It felt like Ollie Henry was dangerous all night, I think he kicked four and it felt like it could have been five or six.
I think that is what every team is aiming for, you just want to set up with a forward half where if the opposition are able to stop your main threats, that there are other guys that can bob up.
You mention Mannagh and Close, I mention Henry, Jack Martin was solid, Jeremy is Jeremy and Paddy looked sharper than he has for a couple of weeks.
Trying to develop a multi-pronged attacking half, it is easy to say you want to do it, but how you go about it is often harder.
Scott on Oisin Mullin's performance
I am looking forward to watching it back.
We have such a high regard for Oisin and the player that he is evolving into. Again, he is an incredible athlete and just has great attributes, starting to understand the game better.
It is not to say that he didn't understand the game well, he is very coachable and especially when it comes to those more defensive roles, he is very good at it.
But he is adding an offensive side to his game that we think is a little bit untapped, and we saw signs of that tonight.
At the same time, he is playing on the best player in the comp. If you go some way to breaking even with him, you have had a really good night.
