Scott on Rhys Stanley's return
The upside is that Rhys Stanley is jumping out of his skin as well.
We are looking forward to getting him back into the team, and he has got different strengths to Mitch [Edwards].
But he does complement our other big guys with his athleticism, and does help us think about different ways that we can challenge the opposition.
That is a significant challenge, Darcy Cameron has been a really high level ruckman for a long time. Young Steene has come in and shown that he is a good jumper, he has some attributes too.
Scott on Gryan Miers
It has become clearer now, so we are going to play him for some VFL time.
It would be immensely frustrating for him I'm sure, because without speaking for him, I suspect that he would say that he has ticked every box. That may well be the case, not speaking for our medical staff, but my opinion is that this is a bit of an unusual injury.
If there was any certainty, there doesn't seem to be much, but we couldn't be convinced that this didn't need to be tested in match conditions.
In some respects, it is a little bit of a test. He won't play full game time, it is more just a matter of seeing if he can stand up in match conditions.
I don't want to put a percentage on it necessarily, but they are very confident that it will be fine.
Scott on Tom Stewart's 200th game
I don't feel any hesitation, in my opinion, he has been the best player in his position that I can remember.
I don't think that is a huge statement, in fact, it might be pretty obvious.
It is only 200 games, he was a bit of a late starter. I do get the sense that it is still relatively early, even though he is not a young man anymore and he has achieved so much.
But he has played a specific position, I can't imagine anyone doing it any better.
Collingwood are a bit the same, every now and again it is nice to pause for a moment and go hey, we get to play and go about our business with Scott Pendlebury or Tom Stewart.
It is pretty special.
Scott on the importance of this game
Same thing as last week, same thing as next week.
I am more than happy for others to build it up and if that helps the theatre of the occasion, then that is only a good thing.
But it is the same four points for us.
Scott on the plan for Nick Daicos
It is pretty simple, he is the best player in the comp. I don't normally talk about these things, but it is just so obvious that it is not funny.
We have got a guy that we tend to give really big roles, and this is probably the most difficult role in the competition.
It will be a really interesting battle, because Oisin [Mullin] will play on Nick Daicos for a lot of the game.
I doubt it will be 100%, but I am even more certain that Collingwood won't be surprised by that.
That is the first layer, the way that it is likely to look. But there are a few layers underneath that as well, they will have plans and every club has contingencies around these things.
