The AFL has announced the initial 2025 All-Australian squad, with three Geelong players selected and recognised for their outstanding seasons.
Jeremy Cameron, Bailey Smith and Max Holmes have all been named in the initial squad, with the trio a chance to receive an All-Australian blazer this week.
The All-Australian selection panel has picked a squad of 44 players, before it is trimmed to a team of 22 at the AFL Awards night on Thursday night.
The official 2025 All-Australian selection panel comprises of: Andrew Dillon (Chair), Eddie Betts, Jude Bolton, Nathan Buckley, Kane Cornes, Abbey Holmes, Glen Jakovich, Laura Kane and Matthew Pavlich.
After a stellar season by Geelong's superstar forward, Jeremy Cameron is in line to receive his fifth All-Australian blazer after making the initial squad for the sixth time in his career.
Already eclipsing his career-high with 83 goals for the season, Cameron booted four goals or more in 13 different games this year including a remarkable 11-goal outing against North Melbourne in Round 20.
The star Cat made the All-Australian team twice during his time at GWS (2013 & 2019) and twice more after joining Geelong (2022 & 2024), looking to be selected for the fifth time in 2025.
Max Holmes has been selected in the All-Australian squad for a second consecutive year, searching for his first blazer after an outstanding 2025 campaign.
Playing predominantly through the midfield during the season, Holmes averaged career-high numbers in disposals (26.9), clearances (4.7), inside 50s (6.1) and score involvements (6.6), while also pushing forward to kick 11 goals of his own.
Bailey Smith is the third Cat to be selected in the squad, the star on-baller recognised for a brilliant debut season at Geelong.
Ranked first in the AFL for average disposals per game (31.7) and inside 50s (6.6), Smith was also able to have a significant impact around stoppages sitting in the competition's top five players for centre clearances per game (2.9). He also added a total of 7.5 score involvements per game, utilising his elite running capacity to find space and adding a new dynamic to Geelong's game.
The final All-Australian team will be selected on Thursday night during the AFL awards ceremony.
