Geelong has made one change for Saturday's clash against Richmond, with George Stevens set to make his AFL debut in Round 17.

A talented, big bodied midfielder with an elite skill set, Stevens has been dominant in the VFL this year averaging over 26 disposals and seven clearances per game, earning his chance at the top level against the Tigers this weekend.

Stevens comes into the line-up to replace Tyson Stengle, who will miss Saturday's clash through personal reasons.

The Cats enjoyed a weekend off to reset in Round 16 during their bye, looking to get back on the winner's list after falling to the Lions a week earlier.

With eight games remaining in the home and away season, Geelong will be looking to build momentum with a chance to solidify their spot in the top four, Saturday's clash with Richmond the first of four remaining at GMHBA Stadium in the run home.
