Dangerfield on what 350 games means

It means a long time in the game, but it feels like only yesterday to be honest.

It is a privilege to play in the competition, I remember game one and 18 years later it is pretty special.

It is even more special to play it in a place like this, to enjoy the environment as much as I have.

We are going to really enjoy it as a family and as a club.

Scott on Tyson Stengle's 100th AFL game

Quite rightly 350 games is a remarkable achievement and Pat should take the attention, but we spoke to our players briefly about it today, 100 games is a really significant milestone.

I think that is really the first time in an AFL player's career that they can say, I am a genuine, bonafide AFL player and I really belong.

But not many players have had the ups and downs that Tyson has had across his 100 games.

The mark of a player, the ones we really admire at the end of their careers are the ones that have overcome adversity.

Suffice to say we are very, very proud of him for reasons you know about, and for others you don't.

Dangerfield on being the 25th player in V/AFL history to reach the milestone

I think it speaks the organisation and the environment that is being created, that players want to hang around.

They want to enjoy the environment and squeeze everything out of their career, it is not necessarily the game that catches up with you mentally but it is more your body physically failing you.

I think that is a great spot to be in, the moment that we are burning our players out mentally because they have had enough of the game, that is when we need to reflect on what we are doing. That hasn't been the case for us at all, certainly over my time in the game.

It has been a place of great joy and that is through times when there is really solid disappointment, but we don't live in that space for too long and we focus on what's next.

I think that's why we have players playing as long as they do.

Scott on his memories of Dangerfield joining Geelong

It coincided with a period where, I wouldn't go so far as to say we were at the crossroads, but history is a pretty good guide in terms of list management and the length of time that teams can stay in contention.

We were certainly testing the boundaries of that through that period.

He didn't do it all himself, but he did a lot of it in terms of getting us back into contention.

Pat himself talks about it a lot, there is so many people that go into making a club successful over a long period of time, but none have been more important than him.

Dangerfield on playing at Kardinia Park

It has been nice to make the place home and to run out at Kardinia Park, with the home supporters behind you.

They make such a big difference to the way that we play, we want it to be a cauldron of fire and we want to defend the home deck.

It is a great privilege to play here, I remember watching footy as a young fella standing on a milk crate on the Moorabool Street side.

It has changed a lot over the years I have been involved in footy.

Scott on the big test against Brisbane

I continually give the same boring answers on these themes, last time we played them doesn't feel that relevant which was Round 3.

They beat us in a Prelim Final, they have been a very good team for the last four or five years, their a Premiership team. I think that is a lot more relevant than their record down here, when none of their players were in that team.

We are completely respectful of the quality of the opposition, they have beaten us the last couple of times we have played.

I wouldn't promote the fact that anyone would think about their last couple of weeks and think that they are going to be less than the premiership team they are.
