Geelong has taken impressive 19 year old James Toohey with pick 15 in the 2013 AFL rookie draft.

Toohey was the 2013 best and fairest award for the Oakleigh Chargers in the TAC Cup and was recognised with a premiers award for his VCE results in 2012.

A super versatile 196cm key position player, Toohey transitioned from attack into defence this year before being moved into the midfield.

A glorious left foot shot at goal who reads the ball well in flight, he took out the Oakleigh Chargers' best and fairest in 2013 after averaging more than 15 disposals a game. As well as an impressive vertical leap, Toohey has a huge engine that kicks into gear quickly and he ran a 3.05 sec 20m sprint at the state combine.
