The Cats have drafted handy utility Gabbi Featherston with pick 9 in the 2021 NAB AFLW Draft on Tuesday night.
The 17-year-old defies her height with the way she plays: despite standing at just 169cm, she plays tall as a forward and has even pitched in to help with the ruck at NAB League level.
Featherston’s vertical leap is impressive, as is her contested marking. While still developing, she has taken great strides in 2021 and is an exciting prospect.
The Geelong Falcons graduate has plenty of X-factor, and represented Vic Country at the national championships.
