Harry Taylor and Joel Selwood.

FRESH off its ninth win, Geelong looks set to regain veteran stars Joel Selwood and Harry Taylor for Friday night's clash against the Western Bulldogs.

After missing Sunday's 28-point win against Adelaide with some soreness, Geelong coach Chris Scott said skipper Selwood would "probably (play on Friday) but not sure".

"Harry Taylor will probably be right," Scott said post-match.

"The few guys that missed, Sam Simpson did a hamstring that's a bit more significant (so) he won't be available, but the others are up and running and training and look to be OK but whether they're good enough to play – we play in five days so it's going to come around pretty quickly."

In the absence of Selwood, six Geelong midfielders registered 22 or more disposals against the Crows which pleased Scott.

"It seems to me when you take a step back to be a more even midfield than we've had in the past, but we've been working away at that for a long period of time, it hasn't just happened," Scott said.
