Last night in Brisbane, Geelong senior coach Chris Scott was inducted into the Brisbane Lions’ Hall of Fame in commemoration for his outstanding and respected contribution to the club.

Scott was one of 10 players to join the exclusive group, including his former captain Michael Voss.

To be accepted into the Hall of Fame players have to be retired from the game for at least three years and candidates are not chosen on one specific aspect but their overall contribution to the club.

The former Lion started his 215-game career with the Rising Star Award in his debut year of 1994. In 1998 Scott went on to win the club’s Best and Fairest Merrett–Murray medal and was part of the 2001 and 02 premiership games.

Every two years a limited number of individuals are welcomed into the Hall of Fame. Melbourne will host the next induction ceremony in 2016.
