VFL: Narkle returns as Cats face Coburg

Quinton Narkle returns for Geelong VFL. - Geelong Cats,VFL
Quinton Narkle returns for Geelong VFL.

Quinton Narkle has been named to return from injury as the Bendigo Bank Cats take on Coburg at GMHBA Stadium on Saturday.

Narkle missed last week’s clash with Collingwood after sustaining a hamstring injury.

Experienced Cats Jed Bews and Scott Selwood will both get another game under their belts in their quests to earn their way back into the senior side.

Ryan Abbott will also return to the side and add to the Cats’ ruck strength after performing admirably in the AFL last week.

The Cats will need to cover the loss of James Parsons who has been a strong contributor all year long, with the line-breaking runner earning his first AFL call-up of the season.

Coburg sits 12th on the table with one win from its six outings, while Geelong earned its second win for the year last week against the Magpies.

The ball will bounce for Saturday’s match at 2pm.
