On this week’s nib Medical Report, Geelong physio Mark Young says Jackson Sheringham will be available for selection and Mathew Stokes is tracking well.

Sheringham, who was a late withdrawal last week, has hit the track hard this week and Young says the 26-year-old is looking good.

“He recovered well from his hip strain and then he got sick and he missed a bit of training through the week, so we didn’t want to risk him,” Young told Cats TV.

“But he’s looking great on the track and he’ll be back this week.”

Young also had good news about the Cats leading disposal winner, Stokes, who has been an apparent loss since he strained his ankle against the Suns.

This week Stokes slipped on the runners and Young expects him to be back in full training as early as next week.

“He’s coming along, ligaments are hard, you have to wait for them to heal but this one seems to have turned a corner,” Young said.

“He’s had a couple of runs now and he’ll look to join the main group next week, we expect he’s about two or three away.”
