Geelong has selected former North Melbourne defender Cameron Delaney with pick 32 in the rookie draft.

Delaney, 22, was originally selected at pick 69 in the 2010 national draft by the Kangaroos.

A Geelong Falcon as a junior, Delaney is a 194cm, 91kg key defender with tremendous agility.

Delaney, has been restricted to six AFL games in his career including five games in 2012 where he averaged 15 disposals and three marks per game, and one in 2013.

Since 2013, Delaney has battled a significant toe injury with two surgeries on it including one mid-way through 2014 that derailed his season.
