With pick 33 in the 2025 AFL Draft, Geelong selected athletic midfielder Hunter Holmes from the Oakleigh Chargers.
The brother of star Cat, Max Holmes, Hunter is described as an explosive winger with speed and endurance to burn, possessing all the necessary traits to be a damaging game-changing player.
Also impressing with a clean pair of hands, Holmes was a standout during his junior career for both the Chargers in the Coates Talent League, and while representing Vic Metro at the AFL Under 18s Championships.
His connection to Geelong did not stop at his brother, with Hunter also coached by new Cats assistant coach, Nathan Buckley in Under 12s.
