Three Geelong VFLW players were recognised at the annual VFL Best & Fairest night at Crown Palladium on Monday night.

Exciting forward Mia-Rae Clifford was named in the Swisse Women’s Team of the Year alongside captain Bec Goring and midfielder Richelle Cranston.

2019 Cats AFLW signing Meghan McDonald also featured in the Team of the Year. The Darebin defender was named at centre-half-back.

Bec Goring: 14 matches, 8 disposals, 2 tackles, 2 inside 50s, 2 rebound 50s
Mia-Rae Clifford: 14 matches, 14 disposals at 52%, 3 marks, 2 clearances, 4 tackles, 1 goal
Richelle Cranston: 13 matches, 20 disposals (14 contested), 5 hard ball gets, 7 clearances, 6 tackles
Meghan McDonald: 14 matches, 17 disposals at 56%, 5 marks, 2 tackles, 3 rebound 50s

Clifford and Cranston also featured in the top 10 of the Lambert-Pearce Medal, which is presented to the best player as voted by the umpires in 2018.
