The team at geelongcats.com.au have cobbled together their notes from the pre-season to bring you their assessment of every player on the list through the pre-season and NAB Challenge.

Each club looks to get something different out of the pre-season fixtures, but we hope these summaries will give you an idea of how each player is tracking just a week out from round one.

We've already looked at jumper numbers 1 to 10 and numbers 11 to 20, so now it's time for a look at numbers 21-30.

21. Jordan Murdoch – midfielder in AFL Fantasy (3 NAB Challenge games)

Played in all three of Geelong’s NAB Challenge matches and averaged 10 disposals per game.

22. Mitch Duncan – midfielder (3 NAB Challenge games)

Racked up 51 disposals and three goals across the Cats’ three pre-season games.

23. Josh Caddy – midfielder (2 NAB Challenge games)

Missed the clash with Collingwood due to a bout of gastro. Returned in impressive fashion, tallying 15 disposals and two goals against Essendon and 13 disposals and 10 tackles against Fremantle.

24. Jed Bews – defender (1 NAB Challenge games)

Lined up against Collingwood but hurt his shoulder and missed the games against the Bombers and Dockers.

The former Lion and Blue got better as the NAB Challenge wore on. Looks set to become a key member of the Cats’ defensive set-up.

27. Sam Menegola – midfielder (1 NAB Challenge games)

Started his career in the hoops in great fashion by winning a heap of the ball early in the clash with Collingwood. But then suffered a knee injury that will sidelined him for the early rounds of the home and away season.

There’s no sign of the second-year blues with ‘Greggers’. Averaged 13 disposals across the Cats’ pre-season campaign and kicked three goals.

29. Cameron Guthrie – midfielder (3 NAB Challenge games)

Was his usual cool and calm self, whether playing in the midfield or down back. Averaged 17 disposals per game and kicked two goals.

30. Nathan Vardy – forward/ruck (3 NAB Challenge games)

Looks set for a big season. Kicked two goals against Collingwood, then bagged four against the Bombers. Rounded out the NAB Challenge with nine disposals, seven hit-outs and a goal in the narrow loss to Fremantle.
