Skippers back Cats for finals

Adam McNicol  March 17, 2016 11:14 AM

AFL 2014 Second Semi Final - Geelong v North Melbourne

The Cats' most recent finals match was a semi-final against North Melbourne in 2014

Each of the 17 AFL captains other than Joel Selwood (who was not allowed to vote for his own club) have tipped the Cats to return to the finals this season.

As part of the annual Captains' Survey, the skippers were asked, "Which seven other clubs do you think can make this year's top eight?"

Geelong, Fremantle, Hawthorn and West Coast each received 17 votes.

However, only one captain tipped the Cats to reach the Grand Final.
