JIMMY Bartel has returned to the Cats’ line-up for the big clash with the Crows at Adelaide Oval on Sunday afternoon.

The three-time premiership player hasn’t taken the field at any level since suffering a serious knee injury against Gold Coast in round three.

But on Thursday evening he was named in Geelong’s 25-man squad for the big game in Adelaide.

Bartel is one of four players added to the team that suffered an upset loss to Melbourne at Simonds Stadium in round 12.

The others are ruckman Dawson Simpson, defender Billie Smedts and midfielder Jarrad Jansen, who is yet to play an AFL game.

Darcy Lang will miss the clash with the Crows due to quad soreness.

James Kelly, who was hoping to be fit after stepping up his recovery from an ankle injury, will have to wait another week.

The Cats will name their final 22-man team on Friday evening.
