On Tweet the Coach Chris Scott spoke about the Cats new ruck combination, which is essentially keeping Josh Walker from gaining a spot in the Cats best 22.

Scott admitted that Dawson Simpson and Hamish McIntosh has been a surprised but welcomed ruck package for the Cats 2014 campaign, as an interrupted year for both Cats made it difficult for coaches to assess how well they’d match up.

“It has worked better than we expected,” Scott told Cats TV.

“Mainly because we didn’t have the chance to try all the ruckmen together.

“Hamish had a little bit of an issue and Dawson did as well so they didn’t play a whole lot of footy together before Round 1 - but given the way those two, in combination with Mark Blicavs, have worked it has made it a little bit difficult to fit Josh Walker in as well, but if Josh keeps doing what he’s doing at VFL level then it will be hard to keep him out for too long.”
